The new Midnight Skull Sessions is up on iTunes! It’s business as usual as my co-host catches up with my summer reading list and we discuss Hidden Things and Slow Apocalypse. Then things get a little ridiculous.
Two weeks ago, I picked up a book called Dinosaur Thunder. It takes place in a world where time quakes have repopulated the earth with dinosaurs, and begins with astronauts discovering a T. Rex on the moon. I took the opportunity this episode to retell the entire story from beginning to end. So stick around after the hour mark if you want to be regaled with a tale of time travel and the many properties of orgonic energy. Or feel free to stop there if that sort of thing is too literary for you.
Books discussed this episode include: Libriomancer by Jim C. Hines, Hidden Things by Doyce Testerman, The Rook by Daniel O’Malley, This Book Is Full of Spiders by David Wong, Slow Apocalypse by John Varley, The Chronoliths by Robert Charles Wilson, The Life and Adventures of Martin Chuzzlewit by Charles Dickens, and Dinosaur Thunder by James F. David.
