In the latest Midnight Skull Sessions, Isaac and I workshop our best hitman material down to a tight 5-minute set. We meet some vampires who just want to make friends (which should have lead into me talking about Echopraxia, since that’s what Peter Watts’ new book turned out to be about, but I got distracted), and werewolves who just want to have a dance party.
Also, Isaac jumps headfirst into the second novel by little-known author Robert Galbraith. It sounds…fine, but I don’t see Mr. Galbraith’s career really taking off. Poor guy. Not everyone can make it in the cutthroat world of book publishing. Here’s wishing him the best of luck!
Books discussed this episode include: Spark by John Twelve Hawks, Skin of the Wolf by Sam Cabot, The Silkworm by Robert Galbraith, The Conspiracy Against The Human Race by Thomas Ligotti, When The Stars Are Right: Towards An Authentic R’lyehian Spirituality by Scott R. Jones, and After The People Lights Have Gone Off by Stephen Graham Jones.
It is entirely possible that all these books are actually written by John Twelve Hawks, SJ Rozan, Dean Koontz, or even more likely, Dan Koontz.
Werewolf dance party!!!
